My One and Only Girl

Her eyes
warm as the sun
filled with
joy, excitement, intelligence
her eyelashes
whisper into my ear
n' speak of the love
and friendship
she has to offer
nothing means
more to me
than my beloved
my one
and only girl

The End of Innocence

A beast with claws that scratched
That sat on a mountaintop
That left no tracks
Its desire to squeeze and hurt was over-mastering

The world
That understandable and lawful world
was slipping away
from a single drop of water that had escaped
The whole sea has come rushing in

The end of innocence
The darkness of ones heart
Here invisible yet strong
lay the savagery within

Soccer match

The game is over
Satisfaction takes control
We gave it our all
That's what soccer is about
Now I hang my shoes in pride

FEMALE

Fantastic looks I'm forced to

Endure

Many too beautiful

At first sight, images that

Linger in my mind

Echoing across, all too divine

Balboa

Boldly I raced down the stairs, unstoppable. No authority held me back, no rules to keep me in line. School was now over; I could now run free. Finally, good riddance.

At last I reached my locker. I took what I considered relevant. I spoke to my friends for the last time that day, and left the dreadful building. Finally, good riddance.

Looking out onto the endless crowd, I was amazed by such size and shape. The sea of people continued to flow. And I was forced to scurry among them. Blended in as one of them, I slowly made my way to the elementary building. Finally, good riddance.

Brian sat in the corner; surrounded by many. I had just made my way through a tangle of people, only to step right into another one. So I called to him from afar. His face lit up, and his smile grew big. He reached out, held my hand, as we made our way out the door. Finally, good riddance.

Out, under the safety of a large tree: Brian and I waited for dad. The high school campus was flooded with students. All of which were happy school was over. Overwhelmed by such huge mass: we felt small, insignificant. This only made us more eager to leave. Finally, good riddance.

And as if on cue, Dad finally came to take us home. After all I'd been through. After all the teachers, classwork, and boredom I had to endure. This was it, this was the end. It had all come down to this, one final moment. School was now over, finally, good riddance.
